MISSION

We support the long-term sustainability and growth of Rosalie Hall and the mission of Mother Rosalie by inspiring meaningful financial contributions from our communities and sensibly managing those contributions.

Our mission is to support the work of Rosalie Hall and its provision of the range of educational, residential, counselling, child development and support services that young mothers and their children need to thrive.

We are committed to sustain the core values of the Misericordia family: Mercy, Compassion, Non-judgement, Hospitality, Mutuality, Companioning, and Non-violence. We seek to walk with each other and those we serve as equals. A link to the Rosalie Hall website will explain more about the day-to-day work of the agency.

The foundation allows donors or their organizations to support particular aspects of the work of the agency that are of particular value to them. Through this directed giving, they have a stronger connection to the mission. Donors thus become part of the larger family of laypeople that carry on the work that Misericordia Sisters nurtured and grew for more than 170 years.

We provide our donors with regular reporting as to the income earned on the funds they contribute and the results of the work they support.

YOUR WILL

One effective way of participating in the legacy of compassionate care is to remember the Rosalie Hall Foundation in your will. If you have a particular program or need that you wish to fund, we invite you to discuss that with us now. When drafting your will or giving your lawyer or paralegal instructions to draft your will simply ask that they include a paragraph which states:

“Out of the residue of my estate, to provide the amount of  xxxx, to the Rosalie Hall Foundation for the charitable purpose of ____”.

We invite you or your legal advisor to contact us further to discuss this or any related matter by emailing Board Chair Stephen Waque

DEED OF GIFT

You may wish to fund a particular program or need now or on and ongoing basis. We can provide a legal agreement called a “deed of gift” which commits us to use the money for the purposes you intend, to the extent that it is possible. Preparing a deed of gift is a simple matter and a sample deed of gift is attached for your ease of reference.

The foundation allows donors to support particular aspects of the work of the agency that they or their organizations find have particular value to them. Through this directed giving, they have stronger connection to the mission. Donors thus become part of the larger family of laypeople that carry on the work Misericordia Sisters nurtured and grew over many years.
