ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO FUND YOUR LEGACY

LEGACY GIFTS

In addition to current donations, Donors may want to provide their support through their will. The Foundation will work with donors to ensure that any special intention is met for money they leave to Rosalie Hall in their will. Donors who have already identified the Rosalie Hall Foundation in their will, as well as new donors who are considering doing so are welcome to contact the foundation to discuss their intentions.

YOUR WILL

One effective way of participating in the legacy of compassionate care is to remember the Rosalie Hall foundation in your will. If you have a particular program that you wish to fund, we invite you to discuss that with us now so we can ensure that when your donation comes forward it is used for a productive purpose. When drafting your will or giving your lawyer or paralegal instructions to draft your will simply ask that they include a paragraph which states:

“Out of the residue of my estate, to provide the amount of  xxxx, to the Rosalie Hall Foundation for the charitable purpose of _____” .

We invite you or your legal advisor to contact us further to discuss this or any related matter by emailing us.

We will continue to report to any of your heirs, that you identify, about how your legacy gift is performing and the good work that it is continuing to support at Rosalie Hall.

RELATIONSHIP WITH DONORS

The Foundation works with donors to identify the particular aspects of the mission of Rosalie Hall which the donors wish to support or advance. Donors are also consulted about investment policy for the funds they provide. They then receive regular reports about how the income on their investments is supporting the program they designated as well as receiving reports on the performance of the investment. This is a relationship building exercise intended to engage donors as members of the Misericordia family, providing them with a rewarding personal and collaborative experience in fulfilling the mission of providing compassionate care and support to young mothers and children in need.

The targeted works that donors wish to support is set out in a formal legal document a “Deed of Gift “ .

At the present time the following aspects of the mission of Rosalie Hall that are specifically supported include:

  1. The Foundation is willing to work with new donors in identifying other needs with the objective of serving young families not only to meet their basic requirements, but also to provide an atmosphere of compassionate care, understanding and support.

  2. Supporting the funding of food needs of young women attending Rosalie Hall programs. These needs include warm meals, snacks, food supplements, and other nutritional requirements with the objective of supporting young women who attend Rosalie Hall programs with nourishing food to assist them in gaining value from these programs;

  3. Funding the basic personal needs of young women including personal toiletries and clothing with the objective of supporting young women through providing the small comforts of life;

  4. Providing resources to support parenting programs including Me, My Baby Our world; Bounce Back and Thrive and Watch, Wait and Wonder;

  5. Providing for individualized nutritional, clothing, furniture and medical requirements for infants;

  6. Supporting the pastoral care work undertaken at Rosalie Hall and thereby fostering the development of the spiritual life of clients, employees, officers, directors and volunteers at Rosalie Hall

The Foundation is willing to work with new donors in identifying other needs with the objective of serving clients not only to meet their basic requirements, but also to provide an atmosphere of compassionate care, understanding and support
